cover letter I was born in Pretoria, South Africa. I matriculated at Grey College in Bloemfontein where sport was my main attraction, Grey being the top sporting school in the country. After matriculating I became a swimming coach for Monica's Swim School. Teaching young children the importance of water safety and style correction. The following year I started studing at the Open Window Art Academy. During my second year I got the privilege of working at the local newspaper namely Pretoria News as a Graphic Designer. Through hard work I have managed to write stories and take photographs for the newspaper. Reuters South Africa has bought photographs of mine to be distributed through out the world as for the photograph below. The main objective of my work was to colour correct the front page photographs of the newspaper. I have over a hundred illustrations and graphics published in the Pretoria News. During my leave period I was hired through Pierre Tostee (Association of Surfing Professional Photographer) as assistant photographer for the Mr. Price Pro and the Billabong Pro. My main challenge for these events was to capture the lifestyle of the event. Many of my photographs were used as posters to advertise the top South African band Tree63 sponsored by Mr. Price. I was chosen as the Official photograph for the first female rugby game in South Africa. My photographs from this event appeared in Loftus Magazine as well as World Rugby's Birthday Edition. As a sport lover I've focuses mostly on sport photography which has got me touring Australia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and most of South Africa. Other that taking photogaphs I have written various reviews and articles for Pretoria News namely: Savage Garden (concert review), Faithless (concert review), Perlemoen Bust at Jhb International (crime opperation). I have gained experience in the following computer programmes: IBM: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Corel Draw, and 3D Studio, Adobe Golive, Corel Draw, Frontpage, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator . Apple Mackintosh: Quark Express, PhotoShop, Freehand, PageMaker.
